I hope for the potential hiring manager this section carries sufficient amount of information to form a general idea about my skills level in utilizing Excel dealing with complex data problems.<\/span>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem; font-weight: 700;\">\n                    <br>EXCEL IN THE AGE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE:\n                  <\/span>\n                  <br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem;\">Popular arguments challenging the role of Excel:<\/span>\n                  <br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">AI can analyze data\n     better than Excel: <\/span>It\n     is remarkable how AI tools like ChatGPT \/ CoPilot can understand and analyze data. What feels like hours of work\n     with Excel can often take just a few clicks and seconds with a prompt.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Po<\/span>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">wer BI \/ Python \/\n     Tableau &gt;&gt;&gt; Excel:<\/span> Specifically for data analysis\n     work, it seems a tool like Power BI (or Python or Tableau) is better\n     suited and performant.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Excel is not a worthy\n     skill:<\/span>&nbsp;We can argue that Excel is not\n     a skill that ranks highly on job market, especially compared to buzzwords\n     like AI, Agents, LLMs, Python or Power BI.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem;\">The actual role of Excel compunded with the assistance of AI:<\/span>\n                  <br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Real work happens with\n     spreadsheets:&nbsp;<\/span>\n                  <br>Say what you want about Excel.\n     If you just walk in to any random office anywhere in the world, you will\n     find someone looking at a spreadsheet. People, 100s of millions of them\n     use Excel everyday to do all sorts of things.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">We are in a AI bubble:<\/span>&nbsp;<br>The first rule of bubble is we talk about the bubble alone. In a way, its\n     like anti-fight-club. So that is why your LinkedIn feed is full of AI Bros\n     chest-thumping about their latest 93 step agent automating a 300 day\n     process to 4 seconds. As Warren Buffet famously said, \"only when the\n     tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked\". So don't\n     just Shift-Delete the spreadsheets yet. Let the bubble pop.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Excel is deceptively\n     easy but awesomely powerful:&nbsp;<\/span>\n                  <br>Despite\n     appearing too simple, Excel is anything but simple. It has the same\n     capabilities as Power BI when it comes to data processing. It has the same\n     depth as Python for programmability. Heck, newer versions of Excel even\n     have&nbsp;<br>Python in them. Excel can make just as beautiful graphs as Tableau. <br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Excel is just <b>a <\/b>tool:&nbsp;\n                  <\/span>\n                  <br>What\n     you do with it matters more than what it is. So don't mistakenly\n     think AI or BI or some other newfangled thingamajig is going to solve your\n     problems. You still need to do, act, persuade, deliver and debate.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem; font-weight: 700;\">Conclusion:<\/span>\n                  <br>Excel is not any different from any other technology, application or tool for IT tasks, projects or endevours where it can be augmented significantly by the help of ChatGPT or any other AI agent, LLMs etc.&nbsp; No matter how one looks at it AI is coming extremely handy and useful to increase the productivity of the analyst thru augmentation and most certainly this is far from eliminating the role and functioanlity of the analyst where domain expertise is the absolute initial requirement brought to the table by the experienced data analyst.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700; font-size: 1.25rem;\">EXCEL PROJECTS DELIVERED (by company):<\/span>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Santander Bank<\/span>\n                  <br>Created one comprehensive inventory of book of controls for all seven banks entities with their rule fail\/pass status and all related metrics, metadata and KDEs. This Excel file was built and controlled by VLOOKUP logic controlled by nested IF THEN statements and overall data flow was also controlled by VBA procedures and functions.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Wells Fargo (Consumer remediation contract)<\/span>\n                  <br>Developed an Excel based tool to be utilized for accuracy checking to be performed on team members' production for reporting purposes.<br> This tool was heavily relied on VBA functionality and it was subjected to a rigorous policy check for compliance before it was approved to be used in the department as officially accepted process.<br>\n                  <br>B<span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">ASF&nbsp; Construction Cheemical Solutions<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span>\n                  <\/span>\n                  <br>BIT aplication (Excel component) - This tool was designed using input from SAP staged and stored in Access database files and text files and fed into the Excel Power Pivots and Power BI model built on DAX functions for sales team to track their performance.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Wells Fargo (Wealth Management \/ Trust Services)<\/span>\n                  <br>System testing scheduling tool for the testing team to track weekly UAT and SIT testing activities.<br>Reviewed, improved and streamlind an automated reporting tool interacting with SQL Server data sets and posting them to SharePoint in support of wide range of audience as an input for multiple reporting needs.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">MHFA (Minnesota Housing Finance Agency)<\/span>\n                  <br>Developed custom tool in Excel working with Access to gather incoming data sets from the field and feed housing financing database to track the program status.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Prime Therapeutics<\/span>\n                  <br>Maintained and improved the existing tool tracking activities for quality control and management for the online prescription delivery.<br> It was interacting with the monthly quality reporting system via VBA based structure.<br>\n                  <br>\n                  <span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">U<span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">HG\/Optum (Care Solutions)<\/span>\n                  <\/span>\n                  <br>Developed a reporting dashboard for the senior leadership team. These tools were used to track product, asset or sales performance, operational and financial status for mid level and executive managers via scorecards, benchmark reports and overall compliance status of the operations and transactions. Below cases describe the nature of this work in more detailed manner.<br>\n                  <br>Santander Bank<br>The purpose of database was to generate extract files to feed status check reports for cust_ids that were failing one or more rules in the process.&nbsp; For 182 rules Access file was linked to 150 source tables in CSV format storing tens of millions of records showing cust_ids as valid or invalid for their rule compliance status. All database objects like queries, macros and tables were controlled by VBA sub routines and functions and user was able to update tables and generate extract files in Excel format from Access form via buttons. Data was onboarded to Access database from downloaded and linked CSV files located on SharePoint.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>\n                  <br>US Bank<br>PPP (Payment Protection Plan) tracking application to measure bankers' cross sale performance to base bonus calculations for each quarterly marketing campaign period.&nbsp; Based on the status reports at the end of each quarter bank was paying those bankers within the system participating in cross sales their bonuses. Each campaign paramerts were being different Access reporting structure was subject to modifications accordingly.<br> &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>GMAC-RFC<br>Application to measure and track monthly mortgage servicer performance which was submitted to the senior leadership team.
